GUESTHOUSE MERAN
|
In the heart of Merano, the small spa town with a mild climate and an enchanting contrast between Mediterranean flair and snow-covered mountain peaks, we find the Ladurnerhof, a Jugendstil building with the character of a stately home.

|
The house was built at the turn of the previous century. With its crenellated and vine-covered natural stone walls, it unites the Jugendstil architecture that is so typical of Merano with the flair of the Mediterranean.

We enjoy a truly unique location at the foot of the Küchelberg, in one of the quietest, sunniest and most central areas of Merano, about a 10-minute walk from the town centre and around 15 minutes from the railway station. We are surrounded by our own orchards and vineyards, thus radiating a very rural atmosphere despite being in the heart of town.

Running directly above the Ladurnerhof is the famous 60 km-long Tappeinerweg. This path is named after the much-respected spa physician, Dr. Tappeiner, who promoted the planting of Mediterranean plants in Merano in and around the year 1900. As you walk today’s Tappeinerweg, you will not only be able to admire the wide variety of Mediterranean flora, you will also be greeted by magnificent views of Merano itself.
